| Chapter 2 Zander sighed and hung up the phone. Why couldn't his big sister have a normal life? His wife Courtney came into the penthouse. THey kissed briefly before she figured out that something was wrong. "What happened?" ~~~ "You got married?" Lila asked Emily happily. "Yes, I did, Grandmother." "Who did you marry Emily?" ~~~ Xavier looked up at AJ with hate filled eyes. AJ walked over until he towered over the teen. "Get away from him AJ." ~~~ Jason got to the hospital right after the ambulance. Monica was in the ER when he entered. "Jason? Why are you here?" Then Hayley was brought in. Moncia went right to work helping her daughter-in-law. ~~~ Sly Eckert sighed. "Fine. Get the Cassadine report to me tonight. I want to know every movement that Helena and Stefan make. Is that clear? Good. I'll be going Port Charles with my family." Sly hung up the phone and turned to his boss. "They found her?" "Yeah, they found her. She's been busy," Sly said. "How so?" "She has more than a couple of compounds running right now." "It's your op. Are you going to shut them down." "Of course." "And Stefan?" "He's not doing anything that we need to pick up on so I'm not worried about him." "Hey Marie," a woman said walking into the office. "Yes Kelly?" Sly asked jokingly. Kelly rolled her eyes. "Aren't you married Sly?" Kelly asked mischeviously. "Oooh that hurt Kelly," he said laughing. She went around to him and gave him a long, passionate kiss. She smiled as she pulled away. "Anyways, Marie, your brother has been calling for you." Marie groaned. Why couldn't her brother lead a normal life? "Well, I guess I'll leave you two love-birds alone then," Marie said as she left the room. ~~~ "Nothing's wrong, babe," Zander told Courtney. She raised her eyebrows. "Really?" She asked sarcastically. "I don't believe you," she teased. He smiled at her. "I'm trying to find my sister," he said. "Oh, no luck?" "Not yet. No one claims to know where she is." "That, I doubt." "So do I." The phone rang. "That's probably her," Courtney said. "I'll be upstairs." Zander smiled and answered the phone. "Hello, big sister." "So Zander, what do you need?" "Come on Marie, can't I call my big sister without a reason?" Marie laughed. "No." ~ Back in Marie's office she had her phone on speaker while she walked around. "So Zander, what do you really need?" "Some help." "Why doesn't that surprise me?" "I dunno." Marie groaned. "So?" "Ted Caruso." Marie's head shot up. "Ted Caruso?" "Yeah, he's giving me some trouble." "And you want me to do, what?" "Get me some information about him?" Zander asked. "No can do little brother. Caruso's under investigation." "About?" "None of your business." "Marie." "Alexander." "Okay, when are you coming to town next?" "I don't know, maybe soon." There was a knock at her door. "Yeah." Sly walked in. "Hold on a minute, Zander." She walked over to Sly. "Helena took it," Sly said, handing her a piece of paper. "Good, when do you leave?" "In an hour. Are you coming?" "Yeah, let me finish with Zander." She walked back over to her desk and picked up the phone. "Hey little brother, I'm going to hafta call you later." "Okay, bye Marie." "Bye Alex." She hung up the phone. "Sly get Kelly in here, she's going with us." ~~~ "Whatta ya want Corinthos?" AJ slurred. Sonny came up to Xavier and helped him stand. After making sure that he was okay, Sonny turned to AJ. "This is the last time, AJ, that you will hurt people that I care about. Watch your step." With that Sonny turned and led Xavier away from the mansion. ~~~ "It's a surprise, Grandmother," Emily said. Lila smiled. "Well where is he?" "In Washington D.C. He had some...last miute business to handle. He should be here later tonight." ~~~Four hours later Emily and Devin barely escaped the Q mansion before everyone came home. Lila said that she wouldn't tell anyone that she was in town. Emily and Devin walked into their hotel room. "Marie, what are you doing here?" Emily asked. "Waiting for you. Sly and Kelly went to get dinner." "Oh," Emily said. "So I take it that Helena took the bait?" "Yeah, just a few more days now." "A few more days and Devin and I can get back to our lives." |
