Internet Security Applications:
GREAT app. Contains Firewall and control over which programs have access to the internet. The firewall blocks all access to your computer from the internet, and stops malicious users from looking at and browsing around your files.
Another good app. Allows you to pick and choose which sites have authorization to send and retrieve cookies from/to your computer. Requires some manual setup in Internet Explorer after installation.
Gibson Research's OptOut
Excellent Software. Steve Gibson of Gibson Research Provides internet users with two GREAT programs to test your system for lack of adequate security. Optout will check through your system for all known "Spyware", and clean it out. Shields UP! imitates a hacker's breaking into your system and alerts you of any "holes" in your system's security. Both programs are written in Assembly Language which allows complex programs to have minute size and run without crashing (Optout is only 31kb!).

AOL Instant Messenger - Talk to your friends and other AOL/AOLIM users instantly!
FREE Internet Service from Bluelight/Yahoo! - If you can stand a small ad display while you surf non-Yahoo! sites in order to receive free internet service, then this is perfect for you. Provides local phone numbers, and unlimited e-mail accounts through Yahoo! Mail. I've been using it for months and haven't gotten a busy signal yet.
