About Critters Island
Some time ago, a brave explorer sailed across the Pacific to discover new territory. One day on his sea voyage, the sky turned dark and gray, a storm was approaching, so Damien Cupbroy and the crew braced themselves as they readied their ship for the worst.
The storm seemed to last forever, and as the waves and wind lashed at the vessel. every sailor on board dreamed of home and their loved ones for the last time.

It was truly the worst storm Damien and any of the crew had ever encountered, but after an agonizing wait, and painstaking endurance, soon enough, the terrorizing storm gave way.
What remained was a wreck of a ship, the sailors began to gather their wits as they evaluated the damage. The ship was now lost at sea, and the navigator started to get to work. As the sky cleared out, through the distance, something started to glisten. On the horizon, a shape began to form. Suddenly, a sailor yelled "Land ho!" and everyone on the ship began to cheer.  Damien was exhilirated.
This was the discovery of Critters Island.
The Adventurers
Joan is a young and ambitious little girl who, once heard of the Critters Island myth, hurried to investigate. She has an older sister who has moved away to settle down with her new family, and two younger brothers. Her adventure will surely take her away from her family, only keeping in touch with them through the different means of communication, but she will gain something else even besides the knowledge and virtues.
William and Joan
William is a few years older than Joan, although he doesn't quite look it. His father, professor Frank, an archaeologist working at the university encouraged his only son to accompany the little girl on her adventure to Critters Island as a change that would benefit him, since the professor was too busy for such a long excursion.
