He is blue and white and loves to just twitter his lil songs all day. He looks so cute but dont put your finger near the cage the lil bugger bites....

*****UPDATE******
My dear birdie got to go home with my lil girl.

1 Squirrel
This was an interesting aquisition. The guys found him while they were roofing this winter and he didn't even have his eyes open. He was only about 4 inches long in the body and when he was hungry he would shreik these awful squeeks to let me know he needed fed. He is a funny lil thing like having a rat/monkey on your hands because he is very busy and always into something....Another of my biting lil friends....

*****Update*****

My squirrel has been set loose as of August 19, 2003. I believed it was time for him to enjoy the freedom God gave him. I will always cherish the time he spent in my care and will always look to the trees for him.

We forget sometimes the gift the Lord gave us when he gave us animals. I pray he has a good life and makes many more lil squirrels.
***********************************************
I was thinkin' about this critter the other day.  My little girl was down for a visit and I decided it was time for her to learn to sew.  I gave her the supplys and she says I am gonna make a pillow for squirrel.  Sure, I thought, why not.  She took her time carefully cutting it out and when it was done we gave it to squirrely.  He took it graciously then....proceeded to tear open onesife of it to get the stuffing.  he left the cover off to the side and ran of to his nest.  She shrieked. I said honey its ok, its what he needed.  We can always make another.  Poor thing. Bet we never forget her fiirst sewing project.
Those Pesky Cats and Dogs and Critters...
One is a red chow.  She is our old house dog.
She spends most of her time barking at leaves....just lounging in the yard..
We have four dogs.
TOP
I have 4 cats which are rather goofy.
They won't let you hold them....
They won't let you pet them...
They pet you......

Our black and white mamma cat was the first one that my beloved sheppard brought out the first night we were going hunting,  She brought out 5 kittens all together but hubby put them back in the bushes so their mamma could tend to them.  We didnt see her again till the day we were allowed to take the dogs hunting with us. She was about 3 weeks old then.  We figured she would be ok till we came back.  When we got back from hunting, there she was. We weren't getting rid of her then.  I bottle fed this hungry lil thing till she was old enough for solids.  She has been very independant since.
Cats, cats, cats, and one more cat.
I have the story of momma cat but I have yet to add those stories about her kittens.  Seems about the time mamma was a full grown cat she ended up with kit.  We decided to keep the litter and welcomed three new tabbies into the world.  We had the whole litter spayed later on and now are no going to have but only cat, cat, cat, and one more cat.
They all came out different shades of gray stripes.  Light, Medium, and Dark Ger. 2 females and a male.  I thought for sure momma had them outside and was hiding. Then I heard this lil mew from the dresser.
I looked and there were 3 squirming balls of fluff.  She had squeezed under the drawer and up into a center one to have the kittens.
They stayed there till we got a box to put them in. The box had an opening in the front of it with a lip on it about 10 inches high.  Man, o, man momma cat would get upset if a baby poked its head over that box.  She would slap at them to get back home.  Now days they are older cats just eating and sleeping but they have their moments.  We are lucky our cats aren't people friendly and they don't lay all over ya when you are sitting on the couch.  They keep to themselves and occasionally they will howl to get let outside. They will pet you with their tails on the way in or out.

Our pets aren't outdoor fed because we have a varmint problem with raccoons and the like eating their food.

Light greet tabby is my favorite out of the group. She's the one that slightly resembles a real cat.  She is the gourmet, she eats people food.  Dinner time is when I know I am her best friend.  She likes to sleep at the base of our bed on my feet.

Medium Gray Kitty is our male.  He's just plain weird, let me say.  He walks in and then all of a sudden he's peeking under the rug.  He loves to play with unlit firecrackers and stuff them under the throw rugs we have.  Makes walking on them very interesting...What is that????

Dark gray kitty is the loner.  She doesn't want to be bothered by any of the nonsense unless I have a toy out.  Then she is out for blood on the other two cats.  I give her the tip to her tail now and then cause she likes to nibble and clean it some.

I like to call my vacuuming hide the cats.  We went to one hunting trip that was going to take us away for three days.  We got their litter box ready, filled the dishes, water and food and we left.  Upon our return I heard this weird noise. I looked in and the food hadn't been touched.  That noise was the vacuum.  Apparently they had turned it on the night we left and had been in safe spots ever since. Next time I unplug the vac, poor babies.  It took me over an hour to find them.
***********************************************
They were so cute as babies, but the old shepard dint think so.  If they got close to her she would put her mouth over them like she was gonna eat them and bark a hollar at them.  Oh, those poor babie kitties, they were in the mouth of that grouchy monster. Ha Ha...she was all talk.

The chow we have now they love   They like to rub up against her in a greeting.  Its nice to see dogs and cats that get along......,

Since the move to the new house, mamma cat is missing. I hope she can find a good place to lay up but if she doesn't come home I am gonna beat her....lol good luck mamma where ever u are.............we miss u and love u and hope u are safe.....
We, also, have a blue tick hound and redbone mix.  He's a great lil hunter.  He loves to bark at the deer scent in the air and rummage bushes for a deer to run out.  One day he flushed a bunch of pheasants.
cat being weird
What is that get it off me!!
My boy & our dog...
I wanted to write a little bit more about the animals I have and the ones that have blessed my life....been quite a zoo at times and I have learned and loved so much these gifts of nature....Boy Kittie....sweet, guy cat is one in our Florida home..Cute grey Tabby. He's the medium grey one.  He looks up at you and on this sweet face is an I think I wanna get sick look...Does it everytime...Wonder why he does that....Momma kittie is being her regular ferril self hissing at the other cats as they go in or out the front door......Oh the cats of days gone by......I used to have a cat that was a little more broad in personality.  Kia, would play fetch.  Fetch with the top off a 2 liter soda bottle.  Throw this across the room and she would go get it and scramble with it a minute....Turning to the lid inner side she would grab the lip in her teeth and bring it back to your feet. but that was if you were stretched out on a couch.  She usually dropped 4 feet from where your hand was...FeeEeeelines......

Snakies:
um   what do I write here?
Do I say that my husband won't let me have a snakie??
And Do I tell you that one of my ex-husbands had a collection of snakes?
Among that collection were 3 Sidewinders, 1 Great Basin, 1 Mojave Green, 1 Emerald Tree Boa, 1 California King, 1 Red Race better known as a coach whip...do i tell ya that?  there was quite a reflection of the Adams family in tht home 2 Senegal Chameleons....the pet store loved us.........2 Emperor Scorpions....1 newt.....a burrowing owl...1 Pacific Brown Octopus....a Clown fish and an anemone.....couple Riticulate pythons 3 red tail boas.

and Gunther...

.......ah....Gunther........a Savahna Monitor Lizard. Big lizard I told them that over at the apartment complex.  I was cleaning our duplex and using bleach so I put the lizard on a leash out front and went about to finish this task.  I went out front and he was gone.....Oh...that can't happen.  I went around the corner and asked if they had seen a big lizard.  They said no.  I didn't see anyone else so I went home.  About 3 minutes go by and I hear this blood curdling scream. They found Gunther.  See he is 6 foot long and the size if a small gator.  They thought I meant desert lizard.  He had made his way in this woman's house and crawled under the fridge....

I have owned great birds.  At one time we got a burrowing owl and it was very young.  In time he would scoop up the crickets we would toss him.  Gobbling down a mouse he was a sight.

i love critters
We have two Redbone and Bloodhound mix dogs.  They aren't that great at hunting but we love em

Like a good cat fight guys???
kittie on the pot...
The day the octopus went for a walk....

**Wow thats neat!!!**....the tapping sound in the aquarium section was a pacific brown octopus trying to get the attention of someone to feed him...He would stick a tenticle up out the lid and rattle it.  So, we bought him...Smart critter..

He looked good with the clownfish and the anemone we HAD in the salt-water tank. Soon, no clown fish and the anemone died.

King Octo we will call him for the purpose of this as I dont remember his name now.

There is a big shell for him to creep into. Its pink and white.  We drop a small crab in for him to eat.  One of the 8 tenticles he has comes out to find it...fishing  around..then it is dragged into the shell. On completing his meal King Octo kindly puts the waste by the suction valve in the tank...He was a very tidy creature..

One day we dropped a crab in...No tentacle...hmm checked the shell..hmm no King octo...Turns out there was a slot big enough in the filter system for him to slide out.  He was stuck to the back of the stand...now a former King Octo......

Lock down your octo well or they will go for an 8 legged walk.
I thought it was high time to tell you about our other dogs.

In the order they are in the pens here they are:

Chase
Chase is a red-bone bloodhound mix.  Chase is a wanderer if she is let out of the pen.  She is funny
with her new accomidations.  I tell her, Get out from under that bench, your name is Chase, not Run.
Let her out and she prances away looking straight at you till you can't see her anymore.  It almose looks like she's saying "Look at me I am running!!!" Sweet dog but not much for hunting.  My hubby says she jumped a deer a couple years ago but I haven't seen her do much but get lost.

Junior
Junior is our Plot Hound.  He's not ours but stays with us as he drives the owner crazy.
The other kennels in our hunting party have a female Red Bone Hound and 2 female plot RB mix
form last season and now unsure of number of puppies.  Junior has been a very busy dog.
He is the team leader of the dog.  With his stout physique and his hardheaded attitude, Junior
would be a good catch dog for hogs if we let him do so.  He's usually the one leading the other dogs
into trouble. He is a hunter, tho, he has developed an interesting habit. He moves his feet like the
animals he winds (smells).  A lopping gait may be a deer.  A rambling pattern with his feet is most
likely a racoon or armadillo.. My hubby's buddy's son noticed it towards the end of last season.
Its cute. Junior gets our best little guy in trouble all the time.

Mullet
Mullet is that best little guy. He is the Blue Tick / Red Bone mix. Taken out on the trails by himself his a better hunter. He'll alert us with a bark.  We let him down
He circles and weaves in and out of the palmettos or the trees, looking for the animal he smelled..  He stops to make sure we see him then he dives into the bush and out pops a deer out leaving to us heading out on a chase.
We find the dogs by whistling or they hear the buggy running and find us.

Crook
Crook is just a good ole girl of a dog. Sweet, never runs of.  But then again she barely gets off the buggy.
She just never took to the hunting stuff.  Crook is Chase's sister.  They are both bloodhound and Red Bone.
