| Arf, I am Thaddeus, though my grandma, grandpa, dad, and aunt Liz wanted to call me Bubba, but mom wouldn't have that! Welcome to my spot on the world wide web, of which I am king. I am a Hungarian puli (pronouced "poo-lee", not to be confused with the word "pulley"). While my ancesters are from Hungary, I am actually came to America from Sweden in March 2001. My mom refers to me as the world traveller because by the time I was nine weeks old, I had seen more of the world than she had. I don't remember it much now, as my life is consumed with more important details, such as finding new ways to needle my bergamasco sister, Dalya. However, my mom says that in addition to Sweden, I have also spent the night in Frankfort, Germany! My mom tried to give me a geography lesson once, but I thought that the map tasted better than it looked. Even though I do not remember much of my trip to the United States, I do remember my puli brothers and sisters at Arankas Kennel and the nice woman, Renee, who took care of me. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| To most people, I bet I look like a cute fluffy dog, but don't be fooled! Under all these clumps of hair that are starting to be cords, I am a dog with an attitude! Mom says that I have always been head honcho. When I lived in Sweden and was just a little puppy, Renee gave us all carrots. Well, I didn't think that one was sufficient for me, so I went undercover and pulled off my own little heist! I stole the carrots from each of my brothers and sisters, lined them up in a nice and neat row, sat on them, and than ate them one by one! I do this to Dalya too all the time. Mom will bring us home special cookies or bones and silly Dalya, she "buries" them to save them for later... I'm too smart for that-- I go collect her prized treats and bring them under the couch for me to save for later. She is too big to fit under the couch, but not me!!! Pulis are smart by nature, but I am borderline genius! In fact, some day I may even rule the world! For now I am content ruling my own little utopia that consists of mom and dad, Dalya, and the cats, Wilson, Einstein, and Max. | ![]() |

| HOW IT ALL BEGAN | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The day I flew into Boston to meet my new family, the weather was terrible. It was pouring and the flight took longer than I had planned. I knew it was a big day... I was graduating from my baby days into my puppy days and had a mommy and daddy to win over. It didn't take long to do that! As soon as this strange excited lady opened my crate doors, I put on the charm. I licked her face and acted all happy, which wasn't easy to do after such a long flight by the way, but it worked! She even brought me toys to welcome me to America. She let me play a bit in the car and kept talking to me too, but I had no idea what she could possibly be saying since I was only bi-lingual at the time, speaking fluent Dog and Swedish. She certainly sounded happy, so I knew it was all good things and soon she started to win ME over! The man that I learned was daddy was there too and he was talking to me and petting me like crazy. I knew I had found my forever home! It was funny, because mom and dad smelled an awful lot like canine, but not like my family at Renee's. I had a feeling that this meant that I was not to be an only child. When we got home and I saw a big black nose against my crate, it only confirmed my suspicion- I had a big sister! It didn't take long at all to win Dalya over either. In under 24 hours, I had them all eating out of the palm of my hand. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Here I am playing with my big sister when I first came to live in America! Aren't we cute? The camera loves me! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dalya is the best big sister any guy could ask for. I give her a hard time every once in awhile, but I really do love her. I hate when we're apart and if her and mom go away, sometimes it feels as though the world is coming to an end. Even though I may have a tough guy attitude, deep down, I'm mommy's little boy. Any time I need a big hug, I know mom's the one to go to! Dad is super fun to play with though. He gets me all wound up so that I start growling. They say it may be scary if a stranger were to hear me growl, but it just means I am super happy. My favorite is when daddy grabs at my legs- when he does that I will start to growl with glee and when I've had enough of him, I'll jump off his lap and go chase Dalya! I can play for hours but Dalya is the only one who can keep up with me! One of my favorite games is fetch. Mommy throws Dalya's favorite ball and I sit back and let her get it for me and then I grab it from her mouth then run away. I love to play as long as my rules are followed! |
