Searching for birth family

im am searching out my birth family, about which i know virtually nothing. i was born April 1st of 1981, in south bend, indiana, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Im dont know if it was am or pm, but i was born at 5:29. i weighed 4 lbs and 10 oz., i ws put up for a closed adoption, at which point i was transferred to a foster family. i was adopted on june 2nd of 1981 by Sheila and Robert Kitt, through Catholic Social Services. i will not quit searching until the Lord allows me to meet you. Please let that be before I pass on to his world.

Searching for birth family

I was born 4-20-63. I was adopted to a family in Alameda County, California 2 weeks after my birth. The amended birth certificate has no hospital listed and I have no idea what happened to me during those 2 weeks. I contacted the county and they gave me a little information. They said that my birthmother was 17 years old and had 13 brothers and sisters. She was of mormon descent. They also said that my birth family were loggers in the summer and dairy farmers in the winter. They did not have much information on my birth father except that he was tall with light hair and blue eyes. This was the same for my birth mother. My name is Cynthia Lee Nichols, I am looking for my birth parents. I was born Decamber 5, 1960 in Muscogie, GA which is now Columbus GA. I was born in Columbus Hospital. My adoptive parents names are Bryant Lee Nichols and Elise Louise Johnson. Most of the nichols family lived in Halifax-Boston VA area. Bryant went to TX for some type of training about 9 months before I was born.(Somewhere around February-March of 1960.) Bryant was married to a Charlette Adams in the early 1940's, not exactly sure what the date was. They were married in Halifax-Boston VA area. Their marrage ended after a 7 year desertion period. Then he met Elise Louise Johnson in Ashland, VA between 1940 & 1942. Bryant entered the army and transfered to Ft. Benning, GA, where Elise and Bryant lived together and became married through a common law marrage in 1942. Bryant had told me that my grandfather's name was Mertz( that is his last name no one would tell me is first name.) First of all , I'm not wanting a relationship with my birth family unless it is mutual. I just want to thank my Birth mother for giving me another chance to live. If she had not given me up I probably would not have seen my second birthday. Thank You!!!!! I'm very fortunate to have wonderful adoptive parents who taught me well and instilled values in me that will never depart. I have always wondered what my life had been like If my Bmom had decided to keep me. Would i have visitation with my bdad? Probably not. But now, I have both a mom and a dad who love me very much. I was born on February 13,1972 in Ventura County General Hospital (now known as Ventura Medical Center). I was given the name Amy "W". I believe the "W" stands for White. My bmom, Betty Jo Faulkner, was born in Arkansas and Married a Mr. White. They moved to California in the 60's. They had three boys of their own. In 1963 they were divorced. Betty went to work for a freight company and there met my bfather who was the manager there. Paul Benjamin Lucero was married to Mary Lou Lucero and they had at least one daughter and one son. Paul's daughter worked with him at the Freight company. Paul and Betty had an affair and obviously I was the product of the affair. Mary Lou knew about me. I was born with a a hole in my heart and a severe valve deformity. I was known as a "blue baby". My heart worked so hard to pump blood thru my body that my BP was sky high which in turn caused it to tire and stop beating altogether. My bmom's children were "grown" when I was born. I'm not sure what that meant. I don't know if they knew about me or not. Because of all the medications i was on and her being a single mom and working full time she had to hire a sitter to be with me. But most of the time she never gave me the medicine and i would end up right back in the hospital. because of this and her situation the county suggested that i be placed in foster care until she could decide what to do so that I could get the medical care i needed. So I lived with Mike and Sue Schells in Simi Valley off and on untill I was 11 months old. My bmom relinquished her rights in october of 1972 and I was adopted in December. My cardiologist, Dr. Ralph Weiss knew my bmom and my adoptive mom. He told my adoptive mom and the social worker that he didn't think that i would live to see my second birthday. Look at me now!!!!! Boy was he wrong. He also told my birmother that i would live either. That might have been her deciding factor. He has retired now and I'm unable to find him. He would really be a big help in my search. He was my doctor till i was 16 years old. A search angel found out that Paul had died in 1988 but Mary Lou was still living. She told the search angel that the whole family thought I was dead. She said that her and Paul left Ventura and moved to Modesto where he died. She told her that she thought that Betty Jo Moved to Oxnard, CA. I have never talked to Mary Lou but would love to find out where she is and meet her so we can talk about Paul. My name is Suzanne, I was born on April 28.1968 at St. Elizabeth hospital in Covington Ky. I have recently found my birthmothers name in the KY Birth Index. Her name is Mary Massingale. I looked up on micro film and found that her mothers name was Jermie Morris. Possible other siblings are Gary L. Brummett and Mary E. Hayton. My Mom has called every Massingale and Brummett in the state of Ky. We found one in Tennessee and spoke to her. She was very defensive about the Birthmother. She made one comment that made us feel this woman was hiding something. Her maiden name was Mary I. Massingale. She told my Mom that the people in Tennessee are poor and that the mother went across the state line to have this child. My Mom never told this woman what state I was born in. The reason is that I have a daughter that was born with a heart defect and has undergone 2 open heart surgerys at age 5 days and 6 months. My mother lived in San Francisco during the hippy days. It was 1968. For awhile she and a girlfriend lived in a hotel called the Grand Central Hotel during May, June, and July of 68. That's where she met my father. His name was Ron and he lived in the room next door. Her name at that time was Carole or Carol English. She left there to come home to Ohio the beginning of August not knowing she was pregnant. She tried to search for him but couldn't find him. She couldn't remember his last name. She said, at that time living in California nobody liked for someone to ask alot of personal questions so she was careful not to do so. After coming home to Ohio she called The Grand Central Hotel that was located on Market St. to get imformation but they wouldn't tell her anything. Hi, My name is Liz and I am looking for my birth mother. I was born on December 20, 1974 in Mobile, Alabama at the Mobile Infirmary. I have my original birth certificate and Sally Roberts is the name listed as my birth mother. However, on the legal adoption paperwork, her name is listed as Sally Rogers. She stayed at a Florence Crittenten Home, therefore I think she may have used a fake name. She had completed two years of college at the time of my birth. She was described as being 5'2, 120 pounds, dark blonde hair, blue eyes. I have been trying many different websites with little to no luck. I was born 5/24/65 in New Albany, IN (Floyd County). My birth name was Naomi "Jeannie" Windell. I was born to Gilbert Windell and Zadie (I am not sure if this is her given name or a nickname and I don't know what her maiden name was, I am not sure if she was married to my father at the time. I'm searching for my birth family -- especially my birth mother. I was born November 9, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska. I was taken to St. James Orphanage on November 16, 1954. Termination of parental rights took place in Douglas County Court in July 1955. I was placed for adoption on September 2, 1955 and the process was finalized on September 7, 1956. The name on the adoption papers was Deborah Kay. I just received non-identifying information from the Catholic Charities. My birth mother was born in 1936, the youngest of 6 children. Her mother was killed in a car accident when she was about 11 years old and her father remarried at some point. All of her siblings were on their own by the time I was born. My birth mother was 5'8", with blue eyes and brown hair. She was of Irish and Dutch ancestry. When I was born, she wanted one of her sisters to raise me, but that didn't work out. When she took me to St. James, the plan was for her to visit me and eventually take me back, but that didn't work out. My birth father was in the service and stationed in Europe. I have no other information about him. I do know that my birth mother called the orphanage in 1962 to inquire about my well-being. I've waited far too long to begin my search. I've always been afraid of hurting my mom's feelings by starting a search, but I can't wait any longer. I've had a great life and I've been very happy, but something is missing and I need to find out. I have a 20 year old son and I want to get medical information for his sake, as well as my own. We DO know that premature gray hair seems to be a genetic trait -- both of us noticed our first gray hairs around the age of 16!
