Delta Drilling INC. Rig#71
This is the first page you will see the pics of a rig I managed to get pics of out of all the ones I worked on. Theses pics are from rig #71 of Delta Drilling INC. I started with Delta in 1990 and was with them till they sold out to Neighbors Drilling INC. in 1994. They had some strange rules so I decided they weren't the outfit for me.
Truck.jpg Casing.jpg
This was my first real rig beater. A 1979 Ford F-150 high boy. 300-6cyl. top load 4speed with anti-spin differentials front and rear. This beast would waller the mud.
This is a pic of the first stages of casing to go in the well. The top ones starting with the one that has the shoe are the 11" and the bottom ones are the 8 5/8".

Vavles.jpg
Here's a shot of the vavles on the stand pipe and bleed offs. There is either air or drilling fluids running through the 4" stand pipe while drilling. Air ranges between 110 to 375 PSI and the fluids average around 300 to 500 PSI but higher if needed.
Here is the bottom section of the derrick.

Centertub.jpg
This is the center tub with the cat walk. The V-door going upto the rig floor. And it shows how much room we had to play. Also note my youngest son and my daughter. Long time ago.
Now a shot of the whole derrick.
Here's a shot of a custom company logo that was painted on the side of a dog house on Rig #74.
This is a shot of logging truck setup to run a survey log of the well.
