This is a shot of me in my old hard hat inside the doghouse. The object by my son is the geolograph. This is used to keep record of drilling speed, string weight, weight on the bit, depth, and time. Above that is the automatic driller. It releases pressure from the brake handle by useing hydrolic pressure from weight indicator. It also releases pressuer from the driller to give him time to take care of other things instead of watching the brake all day. |

Here you see me standing beside the break out tongs. This is what is refered to as worms corner. The worm is a nickname given to low man on the crew or someone with no or little experience. |

Here I'm leaning against what is called the cathead. It is used to wrap a 1" rope around that's attatched to 7/16" cable attatched to 1/2" chain. Used for lifting pipe and other heavy objects. Heavier the objected the more wraps required. People get killed with these things if they mess up. |

Here's a shot of being on high sub. There's a pony sub setup then regular sub set ontop. Then rig is pulled on and setup.This is mostly used when do a work over. In other words redoing a well that the casing has collapsed in. |
