How much deception can there be,
When friends all speak in harmony;
About a friend who's not aware
A stranger here, a stranger there.
Can it be called a trusting thing,
When hurt of feelings it does bring.
And all the friends who fall apart,
Because of tearful saddened heart.
Is it the one who's spoken of,
that's hurt the most be lack of love?
Or is it he without control,
Who chose to play a lonely role?
It isn't wise, nor is it kind,
A foolish act by those who are blind,
When love is all one needs to show,
to quench the slanderers mighty blow.
