Anecdotal Protection Page

The purpose of this document is to provide the membership of the DES and their friends and associates with protection from managerial anecdotes.

Managers often rely on anecdotes to support an argument when common sense and logic escapes them. A prime example is as follows:

"We need to stop chopping wood and take some time to sharpen the axe."

or

"If we aren't ready for the train leaving the station, we will be left behind."

Thanks to DES honorary member Richard Porter we now have anectdotes of our own that we can use to counteract those of our managers.

Of course, I can't find the notes I made of Richard's material, so we'll just have to wait until next month.

To submit your own anti-anecdotes or complain about the poor organizational skills of one Crey Rockel, please email Crey Rockel @:[email protected] and he'll either include your comments or promptly ignore you.
