The Gates

There are six(6) IC packages of gates. Choose one and place it in the breadboard carefully.

You will need to get it out again so don’t push it in too hard.

It has to go in the correct way too.

There is usually a semicircle indentation to indicate pins 1&14. Pin 1 may have another indentation too.

 

Make sure that you have disconnected the battery.

 

 

Connect the battery after connecting the wires  (pins 1 & 2) in turn to the positive and negative rails.

The input pins must always be connected to 0 or 1.

It depends on the gate as to when the led connected to pin 3 will light.
