Make sure that you have connected the LEDs around the right way.

The longer wire of the LED should be connected to the positive.

If the wires look the same then hold the LED to the light.

Inside you will see a fat terminal and a skinny terminal.

Connect the skinny terminal to the positive.

 

 

We can check this by using a lead to connect from the positive rail to one end of the resistor.

 

To begin with put the leads to the negative before connecting the battery.

 

 

Now for each resistor connect it to the positive rail and check that its LED lights. If it doesn’t, then disconnect the battery and reinsert the LED correctly.
