CMOS 4511 is a BCD to 7 segment decoder/driver

 

It converts the numbers 0000 to 1001 to the seven segment displays for 0 to 9.

It does not display A,b,C,d,E &F.

By modifying the circuit the letter A can be displayed when the input os 1010

As an exercise work out how to display the other hex numbers and then check out your circuits using truth table and by practical or simulation.
