At Crestwood, we feel that complete health testing of potential breeding dogs if of primary importance. That testing will include OFA Hips and Elbows (prelim at one year and permanent at two years), OFA Cardiac and Patella (certified at one year), CERF eyes annually (including PRA DNA testing if the parents have not been so tested), Cystinuria (at 2-3 months and two years), vonWillebrands and Michigan State full thyroid panel annually. As other tests become available, these too will be added to our protocol for screening of breeding stock and will be required for studs we breed our bitches to or bitches bred to our studs.
