Vector-based Graphics

(DRAW)

Vector graphics can be easily enlarged but are difficult to edit at the pixel level.

They are drawn using co-ordinates and critical reference points. Straight lines and tangents to set curves form the graphic.

A vector graphic generally needs less memory than a bit-mapped image.

COMPRESSION

Compression software looks for patterns of repeating pixels. This helps reduce the size of the file.
