Communication systems are concerned with the transfer of data or information from one location to another. Communication systems contain five major content areas: hardware, software, data, applications and people.
A link is the connection between computer devices. The physical medium used in the link can be twisted-pair cable, co-axial cable, fibre optic cable, or a non-cable link such as microwaves.
