5.4 Media
Media is the
physical materials on which data is stored or presented. Electrical media is
used by the electrical circuits in a computer storing 0s and 1s. Displays on monitors
are electrical media. Optical media uses light in the form of a laser eg CDs.
Magnetic media uses magnetism, north and south poles, to remember the 0s and 1s
eg hard drives and floppy disks. Paper media is used by printers to give a hard
copy.
