3.3 Input Devices

Input is the entering of data into the computer for processing into information.

1.         Keyboard is an input device consisting of a row of keys in a standard layout. The QWERTY keyboard is the most common.

2.         Pointing Devices are mouses, trackballs, joysticks, light pens and touch screens.

3.         Character readers 'see' text and are bar-code wands, bar code scanners, document readers, optical character readers and scanners.
