Systems
A computer system is
made up of hardware and software which work together, processing data to
achieve a purpose. The five elements of a computer system are Software,
HArdware, DAta, People and Procedures(SHADAPP)
1. Hardware are the
physical units that make up a computer system. There are five functions of
hardware Input,Process,Storage,Control and Output(IPSCO)
2. Software are the
detailed instructions used to direct the operation of a computer to perform a
particular task.
3. Data is the raw
facts entered into a computer system. Information is data that has been ordered
and given some meaning.
4. People are
affected by computer systems as direct or indirect users.
5. Procedures are
the actions taken in using a computer system.
