Einstein and Ether Wave Music

Berlin... on the twenty six of September (1927),
Theremin strode onto the stage of Bechsteinsaal for his
formal Berlin debut. The invitation-only audience of
several hundred musicians, scientists, and composers was
scattered with a handful of luminaries who came out to
assess the new Aetherwellen-Musik: Albert Einstein,
the tenor Leo Slezak, the Nobel laureate playwright
Gerhart Hauptmann, and the conductor Bruno Walter."

At the
beginning of the XXth century the ether wave nature of
light was rejected by Einstein, but an young russian
inventor Prof. Leo Theremin creatively reintroduced the
term to promote his termenvox, an untouchable electronic
music instrument. Interest it held was beyond
scientific.
According
to inventor Leo Theremin, Albert Einstein was open
minded to visit his studio in New York in 1940s, tried
to play a termenvox himself and duets with his violin.
Reading the above quote,
it makes sense that in New York Albert Einstein was
curious to experience the termenvox which he witnessed
"Back in Berlin..."
