Dust off your desk and enter a Corporate Team for Wellingtons premier multisport race.
Whether youre out to cane your corporate competitors, work on some inter-office team building, or simply to challenge your personal comfort zone the Kathmandu Crazyman has a Corporate Challenge for you.
This a category designed specifically for corporates, with specific merit prizes amongst a total prize pool of $10,000. But the Crazyman concept lies with the course, 66km of running, mountain biking and kayaking amongst the icon outdoor elements of the Hutt Valley.
Starting from Eastbourne Wharf, participants get underway with a 16km run along Eastbourne Beach and up onto the skyline to Mt Lowry where youll find some of the best views the Wellington region has to offer. The run then drops down into Wainuiomata for a 38km mountain bike along the Eastern Hutt Hills before dropping down through Stokes Valley for a final flat, fast fling on the Hutt River Trail to Petones Sladden Park. For mountain bike duathletes the race finishes here. But if youre in for the full multisport its into the water for a 12km kayak down the Hutt River and out along Petone Foreshore and back to finish at Sladden Park.
The options are many and varied. The full multisport race is open to teams of two or three while the mountain bike duathlon is a two-person team. Of course if youre feeling frisky corporates are more than welcome to tackle the entire distance as an individual.
Dont let our Crazyman title scare you off either. The Crazyman is designed to challenge your comfort zone, but also to be eminently achievable for people of all age, ability and experience. Its an event that offers something for everyone. No single stage is too taxing, and if kayaking isnt your thing theres the popular duathlon option.
In fact, if you where wondering where the "Crazyman" angle originates well it has less to do with your state of mind for tackling such a challenge and more to do with the fact that you'd be crazy not to experience everything that is the Kathmandu Crazyman Corporate Challenge
But don't take our word for it, enter now for a first hand taste of the Crazyman experience.
