Chapter 9 : Decisions

He pet her hair as he waited for her to wake up. He remembered her tears; he still tasted them in his mouth. He wondered what happened. Why had she cried? Perhaps his plans of turning her wouldn’t happen. This disappointed him to say the least. *Bloody ponce. Thought I’d gotten over needing a mate.*

He should have learned his lesson with Drusilla, but apparently he hadn’t. He was stupid and he didn’t care. He pulled her closer to him and kissed her forehead.

                “Good afternoon Puppy.”

                “Morning Luv. Sleep well?”

“Okay, though I’m still a little sore, but it’s nothing I haven’t felt before.”

“You have many fuck fests Bunny?”

“I do like to fuck like bunnies every now and then yes.” Both were trying to ignore the conversation that was to come. The inevitable could not be avoided.

                “Faith-”

“Spike-” she stopped and looked up at him.

“You go first.” They both said in unison. She smiled.

“Why did you cry last night Faith?”

“I don’t know. I guess maybe because people always want things from me that I can’t give and those people always left me.”

                “I’m not going anywhere.”

“Sure you are. If you’re not going to Dru, you’ll go to Raven.” She rolled her eyes at the name.

“Look at me,” he sat up, as did she, “I’m not going to her. I wanted to take you there so she could give you asylum.”

                “From what?”

“From vampires. She’s the strongest of our clan, of *my* family and she can grant requests.”

                “What kind of requests?”

He took her hands in his, “I want you to be my mate.”

*There, I said it, it wasn’t so bad.* Spike looked at the look of shock and confusion on her face. *Then again...*

                “Mate?” She asked. “MATE?”

“Calm down Faith, didn’t your Watcher ever teach you of such things?”

“What things? Of mating things? Why would my watcher, whoever it may have been, tell me about *that*?”

“Because it’s part of vampire culture. Older vampires choose mates who are seen as equals in the clan and carry as much power as their partner.”

“So what is this asylum crap?”

“You’re a slayer and cannot be considered as a suitable mate unless Raven says so. Once she says, no one can question it and no vampire in our clan can touch you unless you want them to. And if a vamp from another family touches you, you have every one of us behind you. Why do you think I had so many minions in Sunnyhell before? Where do you think I get them? I get them from her, she sent them there to help me. They didn’t help me because I was the big bag, they helped me because they had orders from a far scarier, more powerful person than me.”

“So what you’re saying is that if any vampire attacks me, I’ll be protected, if I’m your mate.”

                “That among other things.”

                “What other things?”

                “Mates get to shag.”

                “We already do that.”

“I won’t make it a secret Bunny, I’d like to embrace you one day, but for now if you’re seen as my mate, then I have permission to be with you and we have protection.”

“So what do we do? How does it happen?”

“We go back to Raven, nicely. You show her respect, she’ll probably wanna test you an-”

                “Test? What kind of test?”

“To be one of us you have to be willing to kill. Vampires don’t accept many humans, especially Slayers into their midst, but she’s seen you. She knows who you are, the dark slayer. She’s curious about you. She’ll probably wanna test endurance and vulnerabilities...”

“In other words I’m a guinea pig for her science experiment.”

“Basically, but once she’s done, she’ll grant you asylum and we can be together.”

                “We ARE together.”

“I know, but officially we’re not. You’re the enemy and it’s not safe for either one of us.”

                “You really want this?”

“Yes.” She was hesitating. “It’s not a promise for eternity Luv, it’s just for protection and permission. That’s all.”

                “Okay. Let’s do it.”

*************

She wore a pair of tight black jeans and a black leather tank top to match. They walked through the curtains and she was laying on the bed again, stretched out. Her eyes were closed. Faith looked the vampiress over, she was beautiful. Her hair was a deep brown, almost black and her eyes had been dark brown as well, a perfect contrast to her pale skin. Spike had said she was over 500 years old, but her skin looked good as new, soft to the touch Faith was sure.

“You’re returned dear William.” The woman spoke with eyes closed.

                “Yes m’lady.”

                “You have spoken then.”

                “Yes.”

“And she accepts that which you propose? To be your mate.”

“Yes.” He said. The vampiress sat up and looked at her.

“Do you accept and embrace William as your mate, child?”

                “I do.”

                “You seek asylum for her?”

                “For her and myself.”

                “Yourself?”

“Yes, I have been unfaithful to our kind having even brought her to your lair.”

“I would like time alone with the human. You are dismissed William.”

                “But...”

“Goodbye.” With that, Spike was thrown out of the room. Faith watched as two huge guards quickly took their place near the door to block his reentry and her escape.

Chapter 10 : Rights

Faith stood looking at her for what seemed like hours. Raven’s eyes pierced Faith’s eyes burning a hole to her very center. In what seemed like a matter of seconds, she’d seen her whole life, relived it, and then as soon as it had started it was over and Raven blinked.

“Your journey was long and painful but still you live, surviving by whatever means necessary. You’ve been betrayed and your heart yearns to be free yet destiny dictates otherwise.” The striking woman stood up and walked to a table and poured two glasses of something. She offered one glass to Faith. “Would you care for a drink?”

                “Not the O Negative kind.”

Raven chuckled, “It’s red wine, aged a hundred years, I got it in Italy around the turn of the century. There’s nothing better than aged fine wine.”

“I personally wouldn’t know.” Faith drank the liquid quickly, feeling a little more at ease, but still unsure.

“Would you care to sit child?”

                “I’m good.”

“Sit.” She said sternly and Faith sat on the corner of the bed. “Have you any questions about the asylum William seeks for you?”

“He explained it. I don’t see the point, but he wants it, so...”

                “So you agree without question?”

“What am I gonna do? I love him. I’ve never felt this before. It’s scary and different and not what I expected.”

“What did you expect?” Raven asked crawling behind Faith on the bed.

“I thought I’d wake up and kill B and her little puppies, and Angel and then I’d be free.”

“You can never be free.” Raven whispered in her ear before running her hands down Faith’s shoulders and arms.

Faith jumped up off the bed. She looked back at the vampire kneeling on the bed. Her eyes were filled with want. “Oh God, you can forget it, read my lips, FOR-GET-IT. I’m not his whore and I’m not yours.”

                “Have you ever?”

                “Ever what?”

“Ever wanted something so badly you can taste it? Feel it? Burn for it? When you’re never actually ever seen it?”

“Yes.” Faith answered plainly. She’s wanted love, and acceptance so badly for years.

“You’ve seen the other side now with William. He learned well from his sire. Angelus was a great sire, he watched after his childer and taught them well in the ways of the vampires. My mate was very proud of Angelus, one of his greatest treasures, that’s what he said of him. He was not very fond of William but knew Angelus had purpose for the boy. And a fine master he turned out to be until the recent complications at the Hellmouth and with you, he was on his way to the top of a powerful branch of the family.”

                “Until?”

“Oh yes, William was a good childe, but a slow learner. He still hasn’t got all the rules.”

“He mentioned tests of some kind.”

“Yes. I’ve never granted asylum to a slayer, I never intended to, but I’m intrigued. I’ve been sensing something big, a dark force coming our way. I believe you are that force. Your destiny is greater than that of slaying. You need guidance for your strengths have such potential. Sit.”

Faith was about to refuse when Raven looked into her eyes and she walked to the bed. Raven moved up the bed and Faith crawled after her. “Do you want to know your destiny child?” She whispered.

“Yes.” Was her answer and without knowing why, she reached up and pushed the silk robe off Raven’s body. It fell on the bed and Raven’s skin was exposed. Raven guided Faith’s mouth to her breasts and Faith promptly began licking and suckling them. She felt a low fire begin to burn beneath her skin, inside her skin where only Spike had affected.

Before she knew was happening, Faith found herself pushed back on the bed and Raven slowly lowered herself onto Faith’s mouth. Her tongue lashed out and cleaned the wetness from the vampire’s slit. She pushed her tongue into the other woman’s pussy and it was cold inside. She knew not what she did, she only knew of the taste and the fire burning within her body, the need to be touched. But Raven did not oblige. Faith moved her tongue in and out of the woman’s pussy until Raven shuddered and screamed with her orgasm, her secretions covering Faith’s face.

Faith blinked and Raven crawled down her body some. *What the fuck happened?* She tasted the woman on her lips and knew what she had done, but it had not been willing. Before she could question, she felt the vampire’s fangs in her neck, where Spike’s had been. Faith shook violently in orgasm and Raven got up.

Faith shook trying to get some semblance of control back. Raven took the robe and put it back on. The burning still persisted in Faith’s abdomen and in her pussy, the burning and throbbing of unfulfilled desire, of the need to have a hard cock inside her. She tried to get up, but couldn’t, it was as if there was some force stopping her.

*Like some fuckin’ vamp is gonna stop me!* She thought and with a scream she got up and practically flew off the bed.

                Raven turned quickly and smiled.

He was standing outside the door, waiting, trying to hear what was happening. The curtains were opened and Raven nodded. Spike walked inside and saw Faith, he *smelled* Faith in the room, her sex, and Raven’s. Faith was silent. He could smell her blood as well, practically taste it. He could smell her arousal, obviously unsated.

Raven walked to him and he soon found his mouth filled with her tongue, drenched in Faith’s taste. “It appears your mistress is in need of your attention William.” He watched Raven sit down in a chair on the one side of the room.

He looked to Faith and went to her. He pulled her mouth to his in a punishing kiss. She had Raven’s cum on her lips and face. He shuddered to think what she’d been through, now was not the time. Raven had always enjoyed a show, so that’s what she would get.

He kissed her with complete abandon. He kissed her possessively and she kissed him back equally. She needed him so badly buried deep inside her. She clawed at his shirt and ripped it off. Next was hit belt and he stopped her. She couldn’t question, her mouth was filled with his tongue as his hands ripped her clothing off her body. He threw her on the bed roughly and shed his jeans. Sooner than she knew he’d pounced on her and was sawing in and out her. She tried to find pleasure in having him inside, but couldn’t. She simply grunted and whimpered.

He was hammering in and out of her tight body when he opened his eyes and looked into hers. He’d been concentrating too much on HIM, not her. That wasn’t his style, that was Angelus’. He slowed so he was stroking in and out of her softer, driving her toward orgasm slowly. She responded by moaning and kissing him. She arched off the bed and wrapped her legs around his waist.

He slid his hand between their bodies and fondled her clit making her moan even more. “Spike... harder.” She whimpered.

He kissed her forehead and began driving his cock so far inside her that he bumped her cervix and she whimpered and moaned. He felt her nails at his back grabbing and scratching his skin.

“Please... Spike... please... I need to cum... make me Spike...”

She drew blood with her nail and he descended upon her neck on the opposite side he usually sank into. She orgasmed around his cock milking him for every last drop of his cool jets. He withdrew his fangs and looked into her sated eyes. She hummed and smiled against his lips before falling asleep.

He stood up and pulled his clothes back on. Raven motioned for him and he knelt in front of her chair.

“You love her.” Raven said. He nodded. “You claim her as your mistress?”

“As my mate, with your permission.”

“Granted. You seek asylum for you both.” He nodded. “You know not what the future holds. You don’t know of the men who hunt her, who are to kill her.”

                “WHAT?” He growled.

She slapped him. “Do NOT speak to me with such disrespect.”

“I apologize. I just... I don’t want her to die. Who is coming for her?”

“That is not for me to tell.”

                “Can she win?”

“That is the future, this is the present and you seek asylum for you both. You want it so badly you would lead her to this room. I find myself wondering what else you are willing to give up for such privilege. What is it worth to you?”

“With all due respect, what are you referring to?”

                “Rights.”

                *Bloody Hell!*

                “Rights?”
“Rights.” He looked toward Faith. It was the only way to guarantee her safety.

“What of the hunters?” He whispered.

“As the human lover of William the Bloody, she means nothing to me.”

                “But...”

“But with Rights, she will be protected and guarded, as will you William.”

“It’s the only way?” He asked looking at Faith sleeping.

                “Rights.” Raven said again.

                “When?”

“Soon enough, but not too soon.”

He walked over to Faith and kissed her sleeping lips. “It’s the only way Bunny.” He whispered against them. He walked over and knelt before Raven once more. “Rights.” He affirmed.

                “You give them willingly?”

                “I do.”

She was silent, her lips pursed for a few moments. “Asylum is granted to your mate and yourself. You are both under my protection and have the full support of your blood lines.”

*************

Faith slowly woke up and found herself back in their hotel room with his arms wrapped around her. Had it all been a dream?

                “Morning Bunny. Sleep well?”

                “Okay, a little weird though.”

                “Why?”

“I dreamt that I was back at the room with that vampire lady.”

“You were. I carried you back late last night.”

                “Did we get asylum?”

                “We did.”

“Then everything’s okay, right?” She asked flipping herself on top of him.

                “Yeah baby, everything’s just fine.”
