Be sure that you have your desired position and alternate position. If you send in an application for the same postion as someone else turning one in at the same time, I'll need an alternate position request as well.

Also, in terms of on ship pets: The Polaris is a galaxy class starship. Make sure that your on ship pet is not as creative as an elephant or anything. Elephant is an exaggeration, but it's an example of size not allowed. Pet must be one that can fit in crew quarters. Thank you.
