Its horrible out. Freezing rain did a number on the roads. People still insist on driving like a'holes. It took me 15 minutes to get the ice off my truck today and man was it cold out there...brr!! We were so dead at work today because of the weather I'm sure. It made it so damn boring. Dog class was cancelled tonight because of the weather. There's a new Friends and Will & Grace tonight...woo hoo!!! Highlight of my day - sad! I added some shit to the site today. Took up a membership with Blogsnob.com which is pretty cool. Check out the site it has listed at the bottom. Need to write in the journal...

Yesterday sucked and today its snowing. This week better end friggin soon. Got to the doctor's last night and surprise! I had no appt. Turns out they messed up. Pretty nice after I drove a 1/2 hour to get there. Then I got home and my dogs got loose....AAAHHH. Thankfully they came back after I sprinted after them down the street in freezing rain. Today its steady snowing, but I'm having a better day thank God. I hope this snow doesn't stick around long. Dog training tonight...

Its been a while...
Things are basically the same. Working, sleeping, dog training, hanging. Found out last night that DMB is coming to Buffalo in April. Almost gave me a heart-attack seeing that I live for Dave. Can't wait! Saw "I am Sam" this past weekend...OUTSTANDING movie. Everyone was really great. Doctor's appt tonight, dog training tomorrow, the weekend after that...woo hoo!

This last week has been so boring at work. I wish it would get busy so I had something to do. Its snowing again a little bit. I've had enough! Tonight I have obedience school with my golden, Charlie. I could be seeing Black Hawk Down for free, but it came on a bad night. Sucks, I wanted to see that movie. Tomorrow is Friday...woo hoo!!!

Tonight was the season premiere of Real World which is fantastic or so I thought. I set my tape and went to play and when I came home my tape was still blank!! F*%@!!!! I do realize that they will re-run this episode 1000 times, but its not the same damnit!!! I wanted to see it tonight. Oh well...enough griping about that. Tomorrow is hump day thank god! One day closer to the weekend. I'm sick of this work week already.

I haven't posted in a while for a couple reasons:
1. I couldn't get this thing to work the way I wanted! Its all fixed now so here I am again, typing away!
2. Last week was something like a hellish nightmare...
Monday morning my brother called me at work to tell me that our good friend had died in a car accident the night before. The week was filled with crying, mourning, the wake and the funeral. Aaron was only 25 and had just gotten married on Nov 10. He was possibly one of the greatest people I've ever met. I learned a few things last week. One is that death does not discrimiate with regard to age. When its your time to go, its your time to go. The only thing I can't understand is why God chose Aaron so young. He had so much to give to this world and his chance was cut short. It just doesn't seem right. Another thing I learned is that when old people say "here today, gone tomorrow" you should pay attention. That phrase became valid to me this week. My heart goes out to Bianca. What a horrible thing to experience at such a young age. If you love someone - let them know now, today. Tomorrow may be too late.
RIP Aaron J Civiok - You will not be forgotten..

For the record: I have not hit a new low. I've always been a dork to the max. I'm on my lunch break and I feel that I must post the fact that right now on the Judge Mathis show the plantiff is some nerd I went to high school with. Lockport's hit the big time everyone and so has Shawn Russell. This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a while. What's awesome is that Judge Mathis just called him an "amateur con-man" and dismissed his case.

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants.
However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! "In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his
opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
