February 21st- Post Daytona All anyone has to do is go through a Daytona weekend and appreciate fellow sim-racers who do this for a living. Of course the most obvious is Dale Earnhardt Jr, simracer and founder of the DMP. But the list doesnt stop there Martin Truex Jr, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski (Craftsman Trucks), all who currently race in the DMP Pro division. Other drivers online which I have not personally raced against to my knowledge but I am sure we have scratched paint, as they sometimes like to hide, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Bobby Labonte, Elliott Sadler, Carl Edwards, Jerry Nadeau, Shane Hmiel, and Jon Wood (Craftsman Trucks). I am sure there are many more secretly entering the simworld at the NASCAR levels. Here are a few others currently in the DMP who also race for real. Donny Lia (Modifieds), Deac McCaskill (UARA Stars Late Model), Kevin Iannarelli (Modifieds), and TJ Majors. Who knows maybe your local late model track champion is turning some extra laps using a simulation model, the community is growing daily. ![]() So close to an SW 8, figure this will be the closest I get so time for a screen shot. Had a strong couple weeks at Vegas and Atlanta as can be seen by the string of positive SW points. Also shows over 90% of laps completed, closing in on 100,000. All done without the help of driving aids unlike a few others online these days. Note the big -80 on ST, DMP Thompson race, just proves how hard it is to gain Sierra skills while league racing.
August-Sept 2005After missing many of the scheduled summer events Crandall returned to CCRL in style. Winning first Bristol and then Richmond. The Bristol win was prepared for with a victory at one of the newest leagues online TBRL two days prior. Many of the same drivers watched the 97 Canada Truck walk away from the field on the long run. A few weeks later it would be a visit to Crandalls favorite track Richmond but this time a two tire gamble late for track position would be required. Running 6th-8th most of the day with 30 laps to go the crew put on two tires to win the battle off pitroad. November 15th, 2004
With only two races remaining Crandall wins his second SASCAR race of the year this time at Darlington. The win keeps Crandall within 50 points of the overall championship and also a slim lead on the Rookie of the Year honors.
The season has been a consistent and enjoyable one with 30 top tens in the 34 events to date.
The up-to-date total points can be viewed HERE SASCAR at Daytona - Crandalls First Win July 5th, 2004 Well it really happened. After missing the top 10 in Februarys event Crandall returned to start last in 23rd spot. Several wrecks would reduce the field down to 15 drivers early. By the halfway point Crandall was in the lead pack of 8 working on pit strategy. With 7 laps to go Crandall would be the leader and the last driver to pit under green. The pitstop 1/2 can of fuel but no tires, the problem, returned to the track 4 seconds ahead with no help. Within 2 laps the train with BBryant leading the group of four would catch Crandall. But instead of swinging high and passing BBryant would be a true sport and tuck in behind Crandall for the final four laps and follow to the checker. Thank you Bob. Now with the second season points lead of 60 points over second place BBryant. Export on the first win HERE November 12th, 2004
With one race left on the Friday night invites, Crandall sits 148 points up for the segment four championship.
Topping it off with the Darlington win a strong set of eight races so far which includes 6 top five runs. The races are exciting with no yellows and a 40% length with strong fields of 30 drivers.
So far the strategy of patience and experience in traffic has paid big dividends.

Continued, Crandall finishes 4th in the final race at Homestead clinching the Segment 4 championship. Seven top 5 finishes over the nine race period. Final Standings HERE SS 9 For Crandall March 28th,2004 With no S/A and a basic setup from teammate Mark Noble which was made almost six months ago. Crandall ran 9 races in a VRT 8-10 server.
