The scholarship is in the amount $500 and Ms. Davidson will be attending IUP in the fall and plans on majoring in Athletic Training. Pictured with Ms. Davidson are Club Past President Erin Carll, and Ron Gigler.
On June 26, we were blessed to hear from our two sponsored students who have just recently attended the RYLA program at Westminster.
This annual program has provided many students in the past an opportunity to learn a little bit about themselves and a few of their fellow peers in a weeklong intensive look at youth leadership.
Jackie and Adam recalled for us some of their learning experiences and lessons. Both felt it was a positive experience, learning and listening from the counselor, speakers and discussion groups and, yes, maybe, a little karaoke.
Jackie participated in the choir group (energetic) and found it interesting taking the Meyers Briggs personality test.
Adam enjoyed meeting new people and learning how to be a better leader and motivator.
One constant we have heard over the years is how new friendships for life have been created, and this year was no different.
