Production Notes: A very interesting piece of inormation from this source, is that payment for his photographs, at least for the album Boy, came in the form of chocolate. Peter said "A box of Mars Bars was part of the fee."

Accrding to (3) the cover for the US and Canadian cover was censored/edited upon release to avoid "child-abuse" implications. This was due to a "vague worry at the label of that impression left from the boy's waist-up nakedness." This was done by Warner's in the US who changed the Boy cover, "for fear of pedophilia claims."

Production Notes: The cover of U2's Best of 1980 -1990 was an alternate cover photo that wasn't used for War. A fiercer looking Peter in a similar "hands behind the head" pose as was used on the cover of Boy was opted for, over the more contemplative and wide-eyed "helmet" shot as shown here. Bono has commented that this alternative does make "an impressive shot" and therefore was used to commemorate the band's first compilation album.
Production Notes: The band had Peter Rowan pose once more for their third album in 1983 and subsequent singles. Peter was three years older, (about nine at the time), and this time his innocent expression was traded in for a more fierce and dishevelled appearance to compliment the evolution of the band's harder sound.
Production Notes: Peter has appeared once again, presumably, on the cover of the band's Sweetest Thing single, using a photograph that looks as if it were taken during the early sessions in 1980, (note the blonder hair).
