| Holly was a barbershop brat gowing up and imagined herself as the 5th member of Fourth Edition Queens of Harmony Quartet. She walked around all the time playing music and singing into her hairbrush. When she was 12 years old, she sang in an octet called the Heirs Apparent comprised of daughters and a niece from members of the Port of Harmony Chorus. While attending Sam Houston State University she would drive the 90 miles weekly to sing with Port of Harmony. After she was selected to tour with Up With People she took a leave from Port of Harmany and toured with UWP. After returning to college and graduating, she rejoined Port of Harmony. She has been active both musically and administratively having served on DMA faculty for several years, directing another chorus, singing in several quartets and also plays drums in the Praise Band at church. She is a gifted and talented teacher with almost 30 years of experience teaching special needs children. She has unlimited energy and a willingness to keep on learning our Barbershop craft. We are proud to have her as our director!! |
