Earnestly desire to get alone with God. If we neglect to do so, we not only rob ourselves of a blessing but rob  others as well, since we will have no blessing to pass on to them. It may mean that we do less outward, visible work, but the work we do will have more depth and power. One of my all-time favorite song lyrics is from Bob Dylan's classic folk tune "You better start swimmin', or you'll sink like a stone...For The Times They Are A-Changin'." The song speaks of keeping an eye out for changing trends and social currents. Dylan is warning that change is in the wind, and those who ignore this do so at their peril. The first-century leadership establishment had enjoyed their position for a long time, but the wind was beginning to blow from a new direction and they were confused. Traditions were being shattered, and conventions were blown to bits. More than 60 joined the conspiracy. The murder seemingly had the blessings of the people who were no longer pleased with conditions then. Ides of March in the Roman Calendar was simply the standard way of saying March15. It is no use boring into such people-although they will bore you-because conversation flags after the first salutation. Some of us are introverts and some of us are extroverts. We have many other qualities, but we all fit into one of these two categories. Being one or the other has little to do with being shy or outgoing. It pertains to how we recharge our emotional batteries. After leading a large group discussion, I am emotionally drained and need some time alone to recharge. I like people, but I get my strength from solitude. Perhaps you’re an extrovert who draws energy from being with others. The test will either prove that your faith is right, or it will kill it.  The final thing is confidence in Jesus.  Believe steadfastly on Him and all you come up against will develop your faith.
