Step 1)
Measure 1 1/2 in. in on your rolling pin, use the masking tape along the guidelines you've just drawn. Now paint the handles and part of the rolling pin up to the tape in the dark blue paint. When dry paint white polka dots on the dark blue paint. (Don't add polka dots to handles.)
Step 2)
Paint your wooden hearts pink, let dry. Paint your flowers onto your rolling pin, adding the green leaves and squiggles of vines around your flowers.
Step 3)
Now paint a flower onto each heart, one heart with the word "Country" and the other heart with "Kitchen" written on it.
Step 4)
Glue your wooden spoons onto your hearts, hold till the glue sets. then glue the flat metal loops to the back of the hearts as well.
Step 5)
Screw your metal hooks into your rolling pin on the underside, hang your spoons from it.
Step 6)
Take your almost finished project outside and spray with the clear matte finish (2 even coats)
Step 7)
When the finished project has dried completely, take about 5 long strands of raffia tying each end to a handle on your rolling pin. (this is what you hang it with). |
