Habitat and Range:  Pantropical

Description:  8-100cm; plumage often brightly colored; bill is short, stout and hooked; short neck, strong wings, short legs and zygodactyl feet.

Food:  Fruits and seeds

Breeding:  Sexes similar, generally  monogamous, 2-5 eggs usually in a tree hollow, bi-parental care (my, what enlightened birds!)
