DAY-IN  DAY-OUT
A daily (or thereabouts, as the mood dictates) commentary on any variety of subjects - it may be a quote, a joke, a record review or movie recommendation, a philosophical observation, a great site I've seen, Bowie or other music news, or who knows...

Hi and welcome to my home page.  This page is mostly about my favorite artist, David Bowie, but you'll find other interesting things on rock music, the Rolling Stones, and the American Southwest.

March 1, 2009: Well, a happy but belated happy 2009. I'm guessing whereas I have not been here much recently then folks have stopped coming also - I will try and add more frequent updates. Been busy busy. Let's see - I just got back from New Orleans during Mardis Gras which was probably the wilDEst thing I've ever witnessed. SO much fun - after all the years of going to The Big Easy, this was the 1st time I had the priviledge to be there on Fat Tuesday. Pretty amazing  - the paraDEs, the costumes, the partying in the French Quarter - all just off the charts crazy. What else? Looking forward to new CDs by U2 and my favorite single female singer (I qualify that as Kate and Cindi of the B-52's are always my TWO fave female singers - and they will be playing this year again as well) - but Neko Case is simply terrific and I can't wait to get her new one. Oh, speaking of female singers, I got to see Lucinda Williams while in New Orleans at the House of Blues, which was cool. And there is a House of Blues that just opened in Boston and I plan to see the B-52's there, which I just mentioned, as well as THE best guitarist ever - Jeff Beck (I'll also see him at Mohegan Sun). So lots of good music stuff happening. Sadly, still nothing to report on Bowie - maybe we'll see him again in '09. Who knows? Well, that's it for now, but like I say I will try and get in here more often and keep things interesting. And finally and quite sadly, RIP Lux Interior of the Cramps -one of my all time favorite bands, and a live act beyond compare. You'll be missed Lux!
Thanks for stopping in. ta-ta for now.
