DEmerson's Page of David Bowie's
Appearance on the Conan O'Brien show
November 16, 1999
As part of the promotion for the "Hours..." CD, David Bowie and his band appearred on the Conan O'Brien show on November, 16, 1999.
The show was filmed in Rockefeller Center in New York City.  David sang "Thursday's Child" and an awesome version of "Cracked Actor", only part of which was actually aired.
He also chatted with Conan between songs in one of his usual funny bits.
These pictures were taken by myself and my niece Amanda who drove down from Boston with me for the show.  These were taken right after the show, as Bowie frantically tried his best to sign as many autographs as possible. I was lucky enough to get both the regular and 3-D covers of my Hours CD signed, one of which is shown below (the other is hermetically sealed - lol).
The day after the Conan show Bowie appeared on the Rosie O'Donnel show, followed a couple of nights later when he played a very "intimate" show at New York's Kit Kat Club.  Tickets for this were won on BowieNet and through other contests.  Sadly, I was not one of the lucky few hundred for that one, but the Conan show was a really great experience.  After signing autographs, we walked along with his car for a block and David was waving at us from the back seat!
Here is one of the two "Hours..." autographs I was lucky enough to get after the Conan show.
