Unfortunately affirmative action just got a big break. It is now legal to discriminate against whites getting into college. Its purpose is to 'create a more diverse environment and community' Sounds like a bunch of bull shit to me.
WHOOOOOOOOOPDE FUCKING DO! I'm so glad we have such a diverse country, where diversity matters more than the Declaration of Independence. Where in 1776 Thomas Jefferson said "All men are created equal" (expect if you're white and trying to get into college)
I don't know what people are thinking when they think this is a good thing. I don't think minorities should be discriminated against, but neither should the majority.
Another dumb idea is diversity to the extreme in animated TV shows. I don't care if there are minorities or diversity in them, but many shows go to the extreme. In ghost busters extreme, there is a women, a hispanic, a black, and a crippled. If you say that's not extreme, then you're wrong. Why do you think they call it ghost busters extreme?
Also Sesame Street has a muppet with aids. What the hell? Will the show explain to these kids how this muppet got aids. Or will then even say what it does? I can just image it.........
"Hey kids, today we're going to talk about the aids virus!" Kermit says all excited.
"YAAAAAAAAAAY!" Go the kids.
"DOes anyone here know what aids is?" Kermit asks.
"Its a deadly virus that is spread by contact with blood. It starts by attacking t-cells which are suppose to fight off th virus. Eventaully your Immune system becomes useless and you die off. And so far there is no cure." Says one of the muppets wih a smile.
"Great! But do you know how someone gets it?" Asks kermit.
"Ya" Says the muppet. "there are a couple ways: dirty drug needles, having sex with an infected person, you know, stuff like that."
"Great! I'm glad we all learned something today on Sesame street. Remember kids: always check your needle before you shoot up and watch out for infected sex partners! Have a great day and i'll so you tomarrow on Sesame Street!"

I'm not anti-diversity. If a minority qualifies for something they should be let it. But they shouldn't get special privileges.
