Horse and Swine 4H
This is me and Lucky Pig. Which one is more dirty?  When Brittany sold her at auction we both cried our hearts out!!! We loved our Lucky Pig!!
Brittany, despite her frustration, did a fabulous job with her pig and ended up earning 6th place in showmanship. Not bad for her first year!!  We were very proud!
Quen had the easier pig at home and the harder pig at fair : ) He also did fabulous though and earned a 9th in showmanship! Both kids were pulled up into the top ten out of 36 pigs! I'd say that's awesome!  Quen was very proud of Dot and so were we!
Quen and Michelle and Shelby had a lot of fun showing in the same classes at Fair. They were able to encourage each other in the ring and be happpy for each other out of the ring. It was a great time for these guys!!  What a great end to the year!!
No bucking this time!! Quentin and Honey Bee really started to come together as a team during the year. It was great to see them begin to understand each other and I am very proud of the way he never got overly frustrated with her, even when she blew the trail class the day before because Gus was there!  I have been so amazed at the confidence level he has since April when we removed him from a bad training situation.

This years piggy's are Clover, Quentin's pig, a Hampshire and Sir Loin, Brittany's pig a Chester White. They are awesome and funny. It's good to be back to swine again.
Amador County Fair was a very fun fair. We had a great time and the kids met a lot of friends. They played all day with Everette and Joe and Mikayla, Courtney, Haley and Chelsea. We had a lot of classes. The costume class was a hoot and a half. We will definately go back next year ot Amador fair.
