| Augustus came at 12:30am on April 29, 2004. I was able to watch this incredable birth and anyone who says that God does not exsist or there are no more miracles, have never seen a birth!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Gus has been double registered as a Palomino and also with the Part Blood Registry as a 1/2 Morgan. The Morgan Horse Association does not recognize anything but full Morgans so Part Blood is the only way to get registered for anything other than "pure blood". This I understand is going to change in the next couple of years, so I am biding my time. He can still show in the Morgan Pleasure Society shows. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Quentin showed him at the El Dorado county fair this year and he placed second in his Halter class against "Big" horses!! He also was in the 4th of July Parade in Pleasant Valley with the Fire Truck Sirens going off and people crowding the streets clapping and screaming and children running into the street and he was as calm as could be. He thought the hoopla was all for him :) He is awesome!! He lunges with a teddy bear carrying a flag in the saddle and also Courtney riding him. I can also throw a rope from behind and rope his tail. | Gus is the official California Rhythm Riders team mascot and carries the banner in parades. He was in the Placerville Christmas parade in 2005 which was a very long parade. He did very well until the end, where he got bored and then reared up, so Bob took him from Quentin. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Gus is four and still growing!! On the right is his three year old picture and on the left is his 5 hour trail ride with his buddy Rhett on the far left, a Tennessee Walker who he kept up with the whole way!! Gus moves out on the trail and isn't afraid of much...except the bench in front of the bridge we crossed...not the bridge...the bench :) Horses are strange :) Gus is awesome and I have fun every time I ride him!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
