The 2004 Study trips for
Spring and Fall are now open to all travel counselors. Due to the cost
($140 for Spring, $100 for Fall) and distances involved in these
trips, non-travel counselor friends and spouses will not be able to
attend these trips. I would encourage you to encourage them to become
travel counselors if they would like to have the same benefits that you
receive as a travel counselor.
Spring Trip Information: There are 10 spaces left for
this trip and all fees must be paid for at the time of sign up as the
trip is only one month away. Last day to sign up for this trip is April
23rd at noon. I must send a final rooming list etc to the host cities on
this date and there will be a pre trip meeting for all participants on
April 26th at 3 p.m. at the welcome center. Anyone interested in the fall
trip who has signed up for the spring trip should put their name down as
an alternate on the fall trip alternate list (see below for more
details).
Fall Trip Information: The fall trip has 15 spaces
still available and has seven alternates. As the fall trip is in
September, you have one week to turn in your trip fee before your name is
removed from the list. Once your payment is received you must find an
alternate to get a refund (same is true for spring trip). The last
day for open sign up for the Fall trip will be August 1st. As of August
1st, if all of the spaces are not full, the trip will open up to all of
the alternates and they will be given a chance to accept or decline any
open spaces on the trip. The trip is planned for the week of September
19--23, 2004.
I am excited about the many
new travel counselors who have stepped up for the study trips and I look
forward to seeing all of the new faces as we explore our Year of the
South West!
