1.
There is an
emergency release for the bookstore cash drawer beneath the register. Please
see the manual for more information and try it out on your next visit to
the welcome center.
2.
The schedules for
the summer are out and we are looking for three people per shift. Also, several
permanent shifts are opening up. Please let me know if you are interested
or planning on leaving to pursue other interests.
3.
For safety, please
do not leave before your fellow travel counselor, unless you are the
third or fourth on a shift.
4.
Thank you for
taking care of the recycling. The third shifts and I have truly
appreciated the extra help.
5.
Thank you for your
patience during the semi-annual window cleaning. The blinds will be up
again in October.
6.
The rule of thumb on
brochures is: If a visitor asks you for a quantity, the most they can
have is five of any one brochure. If a visitor doesn't ask you, we are
not allowed to do more than offer bags and other services.
7.
There is a new
survey to do that will be complete in mid-April. Please do them along
with the previous surveys.
8.
The back brochure
room has been rearranged and the shelves have been adjusted so that you
won't have to climb up as much or bend done as often. Please take a look
the next time you are out.
9.
We are trying out
some new coffee in an effort to save money. Try it and let me know which
you prefer.
10.
When helping with
a non-welcome center project, please try to face the door to better catch
the visitors.
11.
On weekends, Barr
Lake sells OHV passes and boat licenses for people who are looking for
this service.
12.
We will be closed on
April 11 for Easter and Daylight Savings is on April 4th so Spring
Forward!
