Update: January 25, 2003. Well, I have finally discovered Yahoo's pagebuilder, so maybe I can improve my website!!
The car is now nicknamed "TURD". The reason should be obvious!!
The ES has been in storage most of the the time since I bought it. It shares dry, secure garage space with about 100 other rare, and not so rare cars.
I do not have garage space nor shop space at this time, but I hope that is corrected in the next few months.
I did take the car out in late October. Thunderstorm season was past and the weather was delightful. When Winter threatened I sadly drove it back to its garage. I loaded the luggage area with parts I have been collecting. Now I have some garage space for more parts!!
I did use the occasion to replace the leaky rocker cover gasket. It was so hard I wonder if it had ever been replaced. |

A weak design point is the hood hinges. They rust to the point that they no longermove. The hood still opens and closes because the hood metal flexes. It eventuall fails, as seen here. I made a poor repair to allow me to continue to use the car, pending rebuild, and have bought a replacement hood that doesn't have any cracks!! I did get the hinges freed!!
The hood hinges are just about the only rusted items on the vehicle. |

Since I can't work on my car I can spend time with my dogs. Two of them are sharing one lap. Gordon Setter Newlie weighs 75 pounds. Irish Red and White Setter Rory weighs about 68. |
