| There has been a big gap between updates. In September, 2003, we moved from Omaha to Persia, Iowa. Actually, Persia, pop 212, is about 5 miles away. No cable, no dsl, etc. BUT there is room for the dogs and, as you can see below, a workshop. (UPDATE!! We now have DSL!!) The shop was not on the property when we bought the house. I contracted for it in March and it was built during the summer. By mid-September I was ready to bring the Volvo out of storage. |

| The shop is 30 x 40. The pick up is a 90 Ford F150 that I bought at auction for $350. It had bad exhaust manifolds and I replaced the front brakes and put new tires on all the way around. I still have less than $1000 in it. | |||||||||||||||||||
| I wanted to drive the car for a few weeks in 2003, but when I went to get the car out of storage a FI hose blew. When I brought the car home I had new hose and replacement injectors. My plan was to drive the car for another year or so while I accumulate parts and cash. Well, one day while I was at the local parts store buying stuff for the pickup the starter made a dreadful sound. I got the car home and decided not to press my luck any further. Folks, the wiring under the hood is toasted. Time for new everything! I will get started on the disassembly after the first of the year. |
