  1. Doucumentation of the Development Process
    • The purpose of this website was to introduce the community of Worcester, MA to Networking Nate. Networking Nate refurbishes and upcycles PC's and PC parts to help the enviornment. Slow running PC? PC out of date? It is better for the enviornment to utilize as many parts as you can to improve your PC to meet your needs. Networking Nate is commited to giving customers the best computing experience possible! The website provides an overview of what Services and Products this business offers. Ultimately the goal will be to generate business for this fledgling startup
      • Home Page:The Home Page is intended to give the audience ideas about new products and services they may not be aware exist
      • Services Page: The Services Page gives the audience an idea of what specific services are offered
      • Products Page: The Products Page gives the audience an idea of what specific products are currently available
      • Contact Page: The contact pageis a form that allows the user to request information about products and services including custom pricing
      • About Page: Eventually this page will reflect the business mission, and have detailed information about Nate.
    • When creating this website propering planning and testing were used to ensure the information was accesible to the end-user. The goal was to provide insight and ideas and utilize marketing strategies to acheive a website that was comprehensive without being overwhelming for the user.
  2. Defense of the Final Project
    • The general feel of the website will be simplistic and straight forward. The clientele will be those looking for either a custom-built computer or a repair, so capturing their attention for what drove them to the site is crucial. The homepage will outline what the business has to offer in terms of services and provide links to those services. It will also provide links to information of the site owner and a contact link. This will provide the simplest navigation to what the client is looking for. The links will be accessible in a ribbon at the top of all pages for easy navigation from one part of the site to any other.
    • As this company deals primarily with PCs the color palate will favor the blues utilized by IBM, Pentium, and Microsoft. The color association with these colors instantly reads PC. The subliminal association with PC is quite apparent. For the section on custom builds there will be slightly greener to highlight the ability to build a gaming rig. XBOX, and Nvidia both use a greener palate, so the site will bring in some of these tones to help register this association in the client’s mind.
    • Typeface will favor serif fonts, particularly those that look like courier for banners and large print. The overall look the fonts will bring will be simple, clean, and highly legible. The look will be understated and simplistic.
  3. Opportunities for Growth and Improvement
    • Ultimately this website would be linked to a database where thte products available could be stored
    • I would also like to add purchasing ability, and secured payment via paypal.
    • The about page would be more reflective of the site and provide more content about the site.
    • The contact page would be tied to server end programming so the information was stored in a database.
    • Ideally the Products table would be eliminated to enable better rendering for mobile viewers.
    • The home page would be easier to edit for the end user. There would be backend coding that would allow the user to create new posts about what Nate is up to. I think this would be a complicated, but interesting feature to ad where the videos and text could easily be replaced, and appropriate hyperlinks added without significant manipulation.
