This is a short list of other documentaries that I've reviewed dealing with the 9/11 disaster. Like Zero to 16, none were commissioned
or authoriized by the City of New York. However, I am proud to
say that
Zero to 16 is the only program to focus on
lessons learned from rescue and recovery at Ground Zero.
It is a testament to the heroic efforts of the FDNY, PAPD,
NYPD and thousands of volunteers nationwide.
3 Nights at Ground Zero This documentary has been making the rounds of film festivals worldwide. The filmmaker, Matt Siegel, admits that he disguised himself as a firefighter to record activities at Ground Zero, especially the search efforts below the WTC ruins. (Run Time: 31 minutes -- $24.95)
7 Days In September Based largely on footage recorded by Maryland fire photographer James Goetz, who worked with other volunteer freelancers to capture the story behind the scenes at Ground Zero. Jims work can be purchased at Firehouse.TV. (Run Time: 48 minutes -- $29.95)
The First 24 Hours The haunting documentary by cinematographer Ettienne Sauret, who also disguised himself as a firefighter to record the World Trade Center disaster in spectacular, artful images. (30 minutes -- $19.95)
WTC: 09-11-01 Produced by Fireline Video Productions, this film follows a timeline that begins with the crashes, and ends with the videographer narrowly escaping death following the second collapse. A must see! (52 minutes -- $29.95) Note: worth every penny!
"DAY OF DISASTER" -- Exclusive video by FDNY Honorary Deputy Fire Commisioner Steve Spak, taken shortly after the collapse of the Twin Towers. (Approx 1 hour -- $24.99)  -- shaky
Fahrenheit 911 The controversial documentary produced by Michael Moore in which the filmmaker claims ties between President Bush and Osama Bin Laden. May never see release in the United States.
911 Gary Pollard This film consists of raw footage of the World Trade Center Tragedy shot by Gary until he was ordered off the fireground. ,His clips were used in an HBO special as well as 7 Days In September.
New York - The Center of the World (Part 8) Award winning filmmaker Ric Burns ends his New York docu-drama series amidst the aftermath of the World Trade Center disaster. Burns, a former NYPD officer, gains unprecedented access to the disaster, and conveys the horror and disbelief of the attack on lower Manhattan. (Running Time: 3 hours -- $21.73)

(52 minutes -- $19.95)
WTC Uncut -- Thoughtful and provocative, Uncut is an in-depth exploration of the impact of the attack on people's lives and the burst of patriotism which followed. Produced by New York based Mado Productions. (1 hour -- $250.00)
