The Heptones
The Heptones where formed in Jamaica in !965 ,The excellent lead vocals of Leroy Sibbles and the close harmoines of Earl Morgan and Llewellyn are what make the Heptones one of Jamaica's most finest and mosts important harmony trio's of the 60s and 70s,Recording with Coxson Dodd at Studio one,Sibbles began to improve his formidable song writting skills. They had their first real hit with Fattie Fattie ,and followed that up with Pretty looks isn't all,,The Heptones at the height of there success left Studio one and recorded for Joe Gibbs ,a good move for the group as it was Gibbs that had made the Wailers into the best group in Jamaica,,The Heptones also recorded for a number of other producers Augustas Pablo.Rupie Edwards and Lee Scratch Perry. In !977 Leroy Sibbles left to make a name as a solo artist ,Nagga Morris replaced him and although they contiune to record they have never been able to regain there previous popularity
