| Horace Andy (Hines) is another one of those artist that is really only well known to the Hardcore reggae aficionados.Born in Jamaica in 1951 the second generation of reggae singers following in the footsteps as the likes of Ken Boothe,John Holt,Delroy Wilson.This new generation of singings included , Joseph Hill of Culture, Winston (Burnin Spear)Rodney and Toots Hirbbert with Andy on a par with them,he was already a reggae verteran by the age of 21 having hits like Skylarking,The Love of a Women and I Found Someone, for producer Bunny Lee this relationship lasting for 10 yrs before Andy moved to the states where he was given the chances to experiment with his sound,Dub becoming a big part on many of Andys works his vocals seeming to soar higher and the band that included Auguasta Pablo and Horsemouth Wallace never sounded better,Andy recorded though out the 80s and 90s even recording a tribute lp to Bob Marley |
