People in the Midwest are friendly
I am Bandar. I come from Saudia Arabia.
I flew from Riyadh city to USA, I arrived in New York. I had disagreement with the immigration. In this time I can not speak one word English. We were on a discussion for 5 hours. After that I must take an other fly, because I missed my booked airplane. I went to the gate, I was very in hurry and I flew 3.5 hours and arrived very tired in the airport. I went to the a special room for smoking. I enjoyed my first cigarette after Saudia Arabia.
I had had the phonenumber of my friend. I want to call him, that he come to pick me up from the Airport. But i didn't know how to use the public-phone. Also I asked a man with a cellularphone. I gave him my number to call my friend. He were looking to the number with questionmarks in his face. The man asked me where you want to call. I said to my friend in Tampa. I spoke with my hands and feet. He said we are not in Tampa, we stay here in Saint Louis. But I didn't know that this are different states. And he saw questionmarkes in my faces. He took me to the map and show me where I am. And how fare it is between the two states. I was shocked when I realeased my situation. My heart start to bit so fast. I looked around with losing my mind, but that man was so kind and helpful when he came to me and said I will help you. He brought me to the counter to explain my situation. We spent 1 hour to find a solution. This man was really generous when he pushed them to find a solution.
They gave me a new ticket from St. Louis to Tampa. But I must wait 10 hours in this Airport. I had to stay all the time in the front of the gate and I was so exhausted.
After this long time, they opened the gate and I flew to Tampa. I waited 4 hours on the Airport to find my friend. I was so lucky, when I saw my Arabian friend.
I would like to say thank you for this really helpful man for helping me to find the right way! I hope that I have any connection to thank him.
This situation noticed me that people in the Midwest are really friendly!
