Escaping Myself

This song's just great. I wrote the main riff early on, and Kyle put a guitar riff on top (which, by the way, is really nice). I wrote the lyrics during french class. Which, mind you, have absolutely no meaning whatsoever. It just had a nice flow to it. I guess they are pretty interpretive though, but I can't make much sense out of them. I can't remember where the refrain riff came from though, I think Kyle wrote that. I remember the first time we played that song at band practice. Bob said it best though, "That was throughly enjoyable." -Gordon

----------------

You, can't see yourself,
can't hear yourself,
can't make yourself,
feel the way you want.

And I can't face,
face this place,
reminds me of your face,
and what it used to mean.

Tell me what you want, a thought for each dime.
Better hurry up, cause we're running out of time.
Knowing how you feel, keep it to your word.
Been here for too long, never thought I'd come here anymore.

Why, can't I just see,
past what you wear,
color of your hair,
and get within myself?

but now I'm gone,
left myself alone,
I could never leave,
this place you left for me.

Fall in doubt.
Find a way out.
