The Archbishop John F Whealon Council was founded in 1992 through the efforts of Ralph Grandpre. It is named after Archbishop John F Whealon, who was the second Archbishop of Hartford. The Council works closely with the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Mary Magdalen Parish, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Waterbury and Oakville, providing funds for various projects.
