Breaking the Ice
Enterprise stumbles across a comet which is larger than any comet humans, and possibly Vulcans as well, have ever seen. To study the comet, Lieutenant Reed and Ensign Mayweather shuttle down to the comet to take core samples. When they set off their charges, however, they alter the rotation of the comet. In only a few hours they will be on the side of the comet which faces the sun. Then the comet will begin to break up under their feet.
"Once he realizes we're not gonna blow up the galaxy maybe he'll leave us alone."
