2. How do you price costumes?
I add up the total material costs then add my commissioning fee to that.
3. What kind of materials do you use?
I use what fabrics I feel are approprete to the costume. I refuse to make a costume out of fabric that doesn't go with the character. Ex. satin for a school uniform or flimsy cotton for a crisp jacket. The customer is allowed to ask for specific fibers or fabric, but if I feel this fabric will not work at all for the costume, I will tell the customer so and suggest something else. |
