period points out, will pay $1 for every day, while obtains the corresponding visa.

- Citizens from Japan and Australia withh a valid passport obtain the
permission for six months.

-Citizens of United States, Canada, somee countries from Europe, among others:
with valid passport they obtain free visa for 90 days.

- France and other European nations with a valid passport possess visa for 30 days.

-However, before traveling to Costa Rica is recomended to ask the Embassy of

Costa Rica, located in your country what kind of agreements and guarantees do
you have, because it changes from country to country. You can also request

there a tourist's card or look for it at the nearest airline, in case you don't
have a valid passport.

- Contact a travel agency to organize your vacations or ask for information of
your alternatives lodging and tour costs. It is recommended to save you some
money and time once you get to Costa Rica.

Recommendations to travel to Costa Rica

-Ask in the Embassy if you needs visa or if you have a guarantee of 90 days
due international agreement between your country and Costa Rica.
- You will not need a lot of baggage. If you're traveling to the beaches,

mountains and forest reservations it is indispensable to bring clothes and

comfortable shoes.


For visiting the capital, it is necessary to take a ligth sweter and warm

clothes because is fresh and sometimes turn out could.

- At special occasions, you can bring a casual pair of pants and semiformal shirt.
For ladies is recommended to bring a formal pant and casual blouse.
- In Health matter; there are not mortal epidemics but it is recommended to
bring general vaccines and if you suffers some illness, we suggest you to bring medical file.

- Leave your suitcases in the Hotel. If you will visit any place else, take
only the necessary things and always watch over your belonging.
Recommendations once it arrives in Costa Rica:

- look for map of the visit area
- To look for recommended places to visit.
- Take care of your baggage
- keep your passport at the hotel and go out with a photocopy of it.
- If you'd need some health service in the country,Costa Rica has a good

service and you can go to the hospitals and region medical centers.
- The currency change should be carried out in the Bank and not in the street.
If you will visit far away regions, make sure to change the money in the
Capital.

Rainy Season:

This station is special for those fond of the nature and the fresh season.

If you require medication, it is recommended you bring the medical prescription
and a medical record. It is also recommended you bring antibiotics and
intestinal disinfectants. Vaccinations are not required.

What to wear?

Due to the low temperatures and fresh breezes in the high parts of Costa Rica (volcanos, biological reserves) it is essential to bring comfortable walking shoes, short-sleeved T-shirt, a sweater, one pair of light cotton pants, and insect repellent.

You may also bring photographic or video Cam�ra, binoculars.
